The image, identity, and perception of yourself can make or break your life. In the aim of quitting bad habits, we all make promises not to go back to old ways, few hours or days later we see ourselves stuck in the same loop of doing the things we once, won't do. At least from my experience one of the bad habits I used to have was playing video games.
I loved playing video games to the extent I didn't mind spending two or three days doing it, thanks to the fact that I realized this habit and how bad it was for me. I took the necessary steps I needed to stop it, though I didn't stop immediately, but within a short period, I stopped. And for most of you looking towards quitting a habit, you may 9 out of 10 times get it wrong, If you don't quit or stop a habit, you replace it with something that will be better for you. I will write more habits later, but my message here is all about self-perception.
The types of habits you have now, whether good or bad are based on how you perceive yourself. The self-image you carry about yourself can limit you from doing stupid things. The reason lots of people do the things they later regret doing is a result of the self-image they embody unconsciously.
A good example is someone who is stuck in a job he doesn't like and works in the same place for years just to make a living and not make an impact or legacy. Such a person consciously hates his or her work, but unconsciously still embodies the hated self-image. Unless you change the way you see yourself, not in this reality of yours will change. There has to be congruency with your perception of self and the work that you do, or else you will be so confused with who you became.
Perception of self and creating your desired reality
The hack for creating your desired reality is for you to change the way you view yourself to the character personality or self-identity that attracts your desired reality. It is like changing your frequency to another one that flows to better vibration or energy. Your self-image is like a frequency that vibrates towards a particular energy(reality), so if you don't like the image of self you've carried, you can always change it, you don't have to remain the same till you die.
